Brandin Podziemski has multiple Shaktin’ moments in 1 brutal sequence

On Monday night, The Golden State Warriors fielded a very depleted team against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road for the second night of back-to-back games. With Stephen Curry, DeAnthony Melton, Draymond Green and Al Horford in addition to Jimmy Butler recovering, the burden of carrying the team on offense fell to Brandin Pod Ziemia‘s shoulder.

Podziemski is definitely capable of picking up the ball and running the offense, but he hasn’t exactly shown that he’s capable of being the first option. And the pressure of having to lead the team can be on the young Warriors guard’s mind.

With less than five minutes left in the first quarter, Podziemski was guilty of not just one, but two fumbles errors in a brutal series that he at least made up for it by pulling a charge at the other end after finally turning the ball over.

In the first accident, he lost control of the ball and almost gave it a foul over the defender. But after taking the ball, he proceeded to mishandle the rock, coughing it up to Naz Reed.

The Warriors are currently trailing by double digits late in the third quarter, and Podziemski didn’t shoot the ball well on the night, scoring just eight points on 4-12 shooting from the field.

The Warriors’ roster is made up of plenty of veterans to watch out for, and they’ve certainly done that by holding off some of their toughest hitters.

Given how Curry-centric the roster is, especially without Butler, it was always going to be tough for the Warriors to win a Monday night contest against the Timberwolves. Minnesota wasn’t with Anthony Edwards either for tonight’s contest, yet Golden State was so bursting offensively that they had no chance.
