Luka Doncic returns to the Cavs game after an injury scare



The Los Angeles Lakers and their fans were pretty scared on Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers on the roadwhen a superstar guards Luka Dončić left the game in the first quarter after apparently hurt his ankle.

“Luka Doncic appears to have injured his left foot/ankle on a shot attempt. The Cleveland court was lifted from the seat and Doncic pulled himself off the court before going down and grabbing his right leg,” ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reported via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

However, Doncic he later returned to the benchremoving the fear of serious injury.

“Luka Doncic came out of the locker room for warmups and went back to the Lakers bench,” Siegel said.

Doncic appeared to injure his foot when he slid off the elevated court after taking a shot from behind the arc.

Fortunately for the former NBA scoring champion (and the Lakers), he was not seriously injured, as he returned to the floor with 1:30 left in the first quarter.

Los Angeles certainly needs the Slovenian star to be healthy at all times. Giving an amazing performance in a The Lakers beat the Chicago Bulls 129-118 at the United Center in Chicago on Monday, Doncic entered a meeting with the Cavs eager to continue.

He dropped 46 points on the Bulls, shooting 15-for-25 from the field and knocking down eight of his 14 attempts from behind the arc while adding 11 assists and seven rebounds.

A win over the Cavs would extend the Lakers’ winning streak to three games and improve their record to 29-17.
