Former star gives ‘bad’ pain update after hospitalisation

Shortly after he published his hospitalization with infection, former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman provided an update to his fans.

Strowman took to Instagram to provide an update on its status. He was still in the hospital at the time of filming, but he appreciates the fans reaching out and showing support. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to know what an infection is.

“The pain is pretty bad,” he admitted, “but we’re still breathing, we’re still kicking. God’s got me, and I trust him, and everything’s going to be okay. So it’s going to take a little bit to get over this hump, but you all know me—nothing stops a monster.”

On Monday, January 26, 2026, Strowman was hospitalized with an infection. This caught him off guard, as Strowman was blindsided, saying it “came out of nowhere”.

“I spent a good night in the hospital with an infection that came out of nowhere in my right knee,” he wrote. “So I could use some prayers and well wishes.”

Hopefully they can get to the bottom of the matter and get Strowman out of the hospital. At least he seems upbeat.

Strowman’s contract with WWE expired in July 2025, ending his second stint with the company after nearly three years. Strowman has since gone on to host a food show called Everything on the Menu for the USA Network.

During his career, Strowman was a one-time Universal Champion, defeating Goldberg to win it. He also won the Intercontinental Championship once. Strowman was a two-time RAW Tag Team Champion, winning it once with Nicholas and Seth Rollins.

In addition, Strowman won the 2018 Money in the Bank ladder match, and won the 2018 Greatest Rumble Royal and the 2019 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle.
