Stephen Curry’s coy reference to the Giannis trade drama

Golden State The Warriors could be a team to watch out for because before the trade deadline, as they may need an upgrade at a few positions to help them through the end of the season. The same names have been floating around for a few weeks, and the biggest one is Giannis Antetokounmposince it was recently announced that it is open to play elsewhere.

Stephen Curry knows how the business is going, and apparently, hears all the trade rumors around the league. At the same time, he does not invest all his time in rumors and is more focused to what is in front of him.

“(I’m) not ignorant of what’s going on around the league. There’s rumors and trades and who’s on the lockout,” Curry said, via ESPN’s Anthony Slater. “I know what’s going on, but right now it’s about trying to win because if we lose sight of that on the field, all that other stuff really doesn’t matter.”

Slater also asked Currie what he wanted to see in terms of access from the main office.

“We’ve always had expectations, me and Draymond … I don’t get into hypotheticals,” Curry said. “It’s a waste of time, it’s a waste of energy. It’s not my job to do that. Mike (Dunleavy Jr.) and the whole front office, I’m sure they’re making calls, watching, seeing what’s going on, and if there’s something real, we talk about it, and decisions are made.”

The Warriors don’t appear to be in the running for Antetokounmpo, but it would be a big move for them to do. Dunleavy is not currently making such a move; it is not certain andf Warriors even have the necessary parts to make a tempting deal for the Bucks.
