Challenging the Thunder is never trivial for Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards lit the first fuse. With his two prized baskets to open the Thunder welcome, the Wolves point guard took everyone – players and public – with him in his own authoritarian victory. With 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, the All-Star was very good, as he often is, but his defensive attitude stood out.
He wanted to battle, rub shoulders with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and finished with two steals and a block. Crossing swords against the reigning champions is not trivial, he readily admits.

“This win shows that if we defend and be intense every night, everything will be fine”he analyzed. “It starts with me. I choose my moments to defend at a high level, and my teammates follow me. I have to do it night after night, even if it’s difficult.”
