Draymond Green dropped a truth bomb on Jaylon Tyson’s comment

The Cleveland Cavaliers spoiled what could have been LeBron James is playing in his hometown for the last timeafter defeating the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of nights ago. While James’ return should have been the highlight, the Cavs’ postgame interview took the cake.
When Donovan Mitchell was asked about James’ impact on the city, Jaylon Tyson interrupted and said, “This is Donovan Mitchell’s town now. When (Mitchell) comes back here, we’re going to make sure everybody cheers for him like they cheered for (LeBron). This is his stuff. This is his town.”
It surprised a lot of people, and maybe even caught Mitchell off guard. A few days later, and people are calm share their opinionsincluding Draymond Greenwho was never shy about speaking out.
“Cleveland is more of a Kyrie Irving town than a Donovan Mitchell town,” Green said on his podcast. “The town of Iman Shumpert, Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye. It’s actually more than a town of those guys until these guys win a championship because those guys can always walk into that arena and look up and say, ‘That’s us.’

“No disrespect to Donovan Mitchell. I think the only thing Donovan Mitchell did wrong was not stop the kid when he said that. Say ‘Hey, no sir. Not really. But young guy, keep playing the way you’re playing and help us get there, then we can say it.’ Until then, I can’t say that.
Green knows how much guys like Irving, Smith, Jefferson and others mean to the city because they helped them win the franchise’s first NBA championship, and they had to go through his Golden State Warriors team to do it. Mitchell has a long way to go to be mentioned in the same sentence as those guys, and he needs to go further in the playoffs to have a chance.
