Andrew Nembhardt connects with Jay Huff for an epic lob against the Hawks

Andrew Nembhardt enjoyed a solid relationship with Jay Huff during Indiana Pacers vs. Atlanta Hawks match on Saturday night.

Nembhard is halfway through the fourth season of his career, moving up the ranks and becoming one of the Pacers’ most important players. He has been the biggest contributor to the team’s offense so far, especially with star teammate Tyrese Haliburton out for the entire season rehabbing his torn Achilles.

Meanwhile, Nembhard is showing the league what he can do with more usage. That was the case during Indiana’s contest against Atlanta as he reached this milestone midway through the second quarter. He drove to the basket like he did he hit the pass to Huff, who caught the ball and threw down a two-handed dunk.

As Andrew Nembhard, the Pacers played against the Hawks

It was a great highlight for Andrew Nembhardt who added to his collection of highlights, leading the Pacers to a 129-124 home victory over the Hawks.

Both teams traded shots throughout the game, but Indiana scored the most in the second quarter with 45 points. Their performance in that period allowed them to control the lead for the rest of the game, keeping Atlanta at bay.

Six players scored in double figures for Indiana in the win, including Nembhardt. He led the way with 26 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and one steal. He shot 9-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-5 from the free throw line. It was Pascal Siakam’s turn with 25 points and six rebounds, Aaron Nesmith had 23 points, while Huff scored 16 points and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Benedikt Maturin had 14 points and five rebounds.

Indiana improved to 13-36 on the season, holding onto 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Washington Wizards while trailing the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Pacers will look forward to their next match, staying at home. They host the Utah Jazz as the contest begins on February 3rd at 7pm ET.
