Peyton Watson throws down a monster dunk over Chet Holmgren

Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren was named an All-Star for the first time, so he is Denver Nuggets forward Peyton Watson congratulated him in a slightly different way.
The Nuggets were looking for their third straight win as they host the Thunder at the Ball Arena on Sunday. It could be a preview of the conference finals, with Denver and Oklahoma City returning Nikola Jokic and Isaiah Hartenstein, respectively, from injuries.
But in the first quarter, it was Payton who starred. He received a perfect pass from Jokic as he sat on the basket. Then he served nasty throw against Holmgren, who did not make a business decision.

Talk about having extra altitude in the Mile High City.
Watson continues to make a case for Most Improved Player, showing he can produce comprehensive numbers when given enough minutes. He’s made great strides as Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Christian Brown, Jonas Valanciunas and Cameron Johnson have all missed time with injuries.
The 23-year-old Watson may not yet be an All-Star like Holmgren, but he’s definitely earned the respect of his peers. He is credited with Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant for his continuous pursuit of success.
The fourth forward is set to become a free agent by the end of the season and is expected to garner a lot of interest and earn big money. He is averaging 14.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.2 blocks in 30.3 minutes.
As of this writing, the Nuggets trail the Thunder at halftime, 62-55. Watson has a record 13 points.
