The Knicks have been linked to a Bulls trade, but there’s a problem

With NBA trade deadline comes close to a name it has supposedly acquired plenty of trade interest for Chicago Bulls winger Ayo Dosunmu. Especially one team that has registered a lot of interest in Dosunmu futures trade with the Bulls is New York Knicksaccording to Alex Kirschenbaum of Bleacher Nation. There’s just one problem.
The dilemma facing the Bulls as the deadline approaches is that more teams are interested in the Ayo Dosunmu trade, and therefore will offer more, but the Bulls aren’t that willing to move him, as Matt Moore of Hardwood Parochism said. The Bulls would like to move Kobe White at the deadline, but the interest of rival teams is not that great, and therefore the offers are not the same as for Dosunma.
The The Bulls are reportedly seeking a first-round pick in a potential White tradebut teams are hesitant to include him due to the fact that White is out of contract. Any team that potentially trades for White at the deadline must be prepared for him to possibly be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
It’s the same for Dosunmu who is also out of contract, but the difference is that Dosunmu is preparing for a career season. He appeared in 44 games for the Bulls, including nine starts, logging just over 26 minutes per game. He is averaging a career-high 15.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists on 51.5 percent shooting from the field, 44.9 percent from the 3-point line and 85.4 percent from the free throw line.
On the other hand, White has appeared in 28 games, including 25 starts, with only about 29 minutes per game. He is averaging 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 43.9 percent from the field, 35 percent from the 3-point line and 81 percent from the free throw line.
Interested teams reportedly have more concerns about White’s size and defensive abilities compared to Dosunmu.
