Kristaps Porzingis’ injury status against the Heat

It’s certainly good news for the Hawks that Porzingis is ready to return for the Heat’s game on Tuesday with left Achilles tendonitis. Porzingis has been sidelined for several weeks with the issue, and before that he was sidelined for a similar amount of time due to illness, all of which has caused huge frustration for Hawks fans hoping to see their prized trade acquisition on the floor.
Atlanta will still be without Onyeka Okongwu, who will remain out of the lineup after suffering a vicious elbow from Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown last week.
For the Heat, Tyler Herro will miss this game with a rib injury, while Norman Powell is doubtful due to personal reasons that have kept him out of the last two games. Andrew Wiggins is questionable with a hamstring strain.
The Hawks recently went on a four-game winning streak to help them get back into the Eastern Conference mix, but have since dropped two straight games, including the lowly Indiana Pacers on Saturday night in frustrating fashion.
Hawks power forward Jaylen Johnson was recently named an All-Star for his efforts so far this season, and Hawks fans are hoping the rest of the team can improve their level of play as the All-Star break approaches.
Tipoff between Atlanta and Miami is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET.
