Lawrence Frank breaks silence on Harden, Garland trade

On Tuesday, James Harden was traded again. This time, from Los Angeles Clippers Cleveland Cavaliers, for a chance to win the Eastern Conference title with Donovan Mitchell. The trade sent Darius Garland back to the Clippers to team up with Kawhi Leonard.
On Wednesday, the Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank talked about trade and James Harden’s time with the Clippers, via ClutchPoints reporter Tomer Azarly.
“I can’t overstate what James has meant to our organization over the last two and a half years. He’s exceeded every expectation and faced every challenge. He’s put us on our backs for long stretches, doing whatever it takes to win. He’s an all-time great who delivers on a nightly basis. We’ve benefited from his talent, his durability, his leadership. We’ll always consider him.”
Frank too talked about his new star rush.
“We’re trying to get younger as we continue to win, and Darius gives us both. He’s a two-time All-Star who just turned 26 and a very skilled point guard with great feel.
Darius is a skilled shooter and passer, quick decision maker and respected teammate who has shown the ability to run an elite offense. We are excited to win with him and grow with him.”
Garland and Leonard have the ability to be one of the best duos in the league. The Clippers will remain a threat in the West as long as Leonard is healthy and Garland is around. Harden is 10 years older than Garland, so the Clippers’ future looks much brighter now.
