Nick Emanvori will not miss the Super Bowl with an ankle injury



Moving to Super Bowl, Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emanwori is injured. And he is a a key defensive piece for head coach Mike Macdonald. However, Emanwori’s ankle injury won’t keep him out Super Bowl against the Patriots, according to a post on X by Ian Rapoport.

“Seahawks star tight end Nick Emanvori, who injured his ankle in Wednesday’s (toward the end of) practice, suffered a sprained ankle, coach Mike McDonald said. McDonald expects to play safely.”

That’s great news for the Seahawks secondary as they prepare to face the formidable Patriots offense.

Emanwori had a fantastic rookie season. The second-round pick had 11 passes defensed, one pick off, 2.5 total sacks and an impressive 81 tackles.

His strong play in his first NFL season is part of the reason the Seahawks are still playing.

McDonald said the team should handle hurt the right way, according to a post on X by Dugar, Michael-Shavn.

Mike MacDonald on Nick Emanvory: “I’m not sure how much, if any, practice he’ll get. But he’s confident. He’s got a great plan. Fully expect him to play. He’s doing great and moving.”

“I just have to make sure we handle it the right way. We’ll probably be too cautious and overcautious to make sure going into the weekend.”
