The Kings-Raptors Domantas Sabonis trade did not go through
The NBA trade deadline she stopped from Thursday afternoon with Domantas Sabonis staying put. Sacramento Kings big man it was originally created as a trade idea for the Toronto Raptors before things went south.
However, the idea of Sabonis in Toronto he is not out of the woods yet.
This proposal could be repeated after the season according to ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel.
“I think we may see a deal between Sabonis and the Toronto Raptors in the summer near the NBA draft,” Siegel posted on the social network X, formerly Twitter.
The past NBA ‘framework’ that included the Domantas Sabonis deal between the Raptors and the Kings

Sabonis first appeared on the Raptors’ radar back on January 23.
Three days ago, Siegel revealed what the “framework” would look like on a Raptors side with Sabonis in it.
“League sources indicated the two teams discussed a trade framework that would include at least (RJ) Barrett, (Jakob) Poelt and first-round draft compensation, but the Raptors will not include rookie Colin Murray-Boyles, who the Kings have inquired about,” Siegel said.
Poeltl is the big one here – as multiple reports revealed the Kings were hesitant to take on his massive contract.
Sabonis, meanwhile, has emerged as a hot commodity in trade circles for a number of reasons.
He became among the previous NBA All-Stars to succeed as a replacement candidate. Sabonis also reconnected with his past double-double team the moment he returned from a partially torn MCL in January (the injury sidelined him all of December). Lastly, the emergence of rookie Maxime Reynaud also had analysts and fans believing Sabonis would be headed for the exit.
But now it appears that Sabonis could become a red-hot trade asset as teams build their rookie classes in June.
