Kobe White gets calf injury notice after Bulls trade

Recently, the The Charlotte Hornets have decided to shake things up with trade for the guard of the Chicago Bulls Coby Whiteas reported by Shams Charania of ESPN. The move comes in the midst of Charlotte’s seven-game winning streak, which has taken them atop the Eastern Conference standings and nearing the postseason berth.
Now, more information is coming to light about White’s the injury status is progressing the rest of the season.
“Jeff Peterson said Kobe White is struggling with some calf issues and it sounds like #Hornets will hold him until after the All-Star break to be careful,” reported Rod Boone of the Charlotte Observer on X, formerly Twitter.
White has been dealing with injury issues all year, having missed the first part of the season for the Bulls. However, when on the court, White is a talented shooter, now playing in the same state where he played his college basketball at North Carolina.
As mentioned earlier, the Hornets have been on a tear recently, with rookie Kon Knueppel continuing to impress and LaMelo Ball finding ways to stay on the floor despite his own injury issues.
White gives the Hornets another ball-handler when Ball is off the floor as well as a secondary shot creator when he is on it, and while he likely won’t do much to solve Charlotte’s defensive woes, he should bring a steady veteran presence to help stabilize the offense and create its own offense.
He’s also theoretically just entering the prime of his career at age 25, making him a good fit for the young Hornets moving forward.
Unfortunately, Hornets fans will have to wait a little while before they see him in action.
Either way, the Hornets will next take the floor Thursday night on the road against the Houston Rockets.
