Austin Reeves makes a startling revelation about his injury absence

The Los Angeles Lakers you have become healthy in the last few days after the return of Austin Reeves from a long injury absence, and he has already shown that he was missing. Reaves is still on a minutes restriction, but against the Philadelphia 76ers, where Luka Doncic had to leave early they needed all 25 minutes from him due to injury.
Reaves finished the game with 35 points, and the Lakers managed to win. It’s hard to know if the Lakers would have pulled it off if Reaves had been there, but they don’t have to play the “what if” game. He came in, and delivered when the team needed him the most.
After the game, Reaves talked about his injury absence and how he was still doing everything he could to stay in shape to come back and do things like he did against the 76ers.
“When you’re out with an injury, I don’t think everybody thinks it is. It’s not like you sit around and do nothing,” Reaves said. “I think you work harder when you’re injured than when you’re playing because you’re trying to stay conditioned, you’re trying to stay somewhat in rhythm. It’s hard, you wake up every day because you have to go to work knowing you can’t do your best part. But you have to do those things, and those things keep you going as much as you can.”

It looks like Reaves may come off the minutes restriction sooner rather than later, but the Lakers will likely still play it safe with him over the next few games.
The severity of Doncic’s injury is uncertain, and it could also affect Reaves and his minutes moving forward. If he has to miss time, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was inserted into the starting lineup.
