The Bucks finally won three games in a row

bucks pacersThis is the first time in this complicated season: the Bucks have their third win in a row. And the good news for the group is that this current series is signed without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

However, Milwaukee got off to a bad start against the Pacers, to the point where they quickly jumped out to an 8-point lead. The Bucks responded with a 14–2 run to take their first lead, epitomized by Bobby Portis’ 3-pointer, which he returned after missing two games. Indiana responds thanks to its bench, going on to a 12-3 lead and regaining control. Aaron Nesmith’s game-winning shot in the closing seconds put the Pacers up 29–23 with 12 minutes left.

Portis continues to act like a patro: with Milwaukee still at -6, he scores 7 straight points to change the score. The quarter was very competitive, with both teams responding blow for blow. AJ Green gives the Bucks momentum with a 3-pointer in the middle, before Ryan Rollins and Myles Turner add one each to extend the lead. Jerras Walker scores for Indiana, but Milwaukee returns to the locker room with a 7-point lead: 54–47.

The Bucks hit hard from the restart. AJ Green hits two more shots from long range, and Milwaukee goes on a 16–6 run, increasing the lead to +17. Portis continues his offensive work with a layup in the post and then a shot from the middle, giving the Bucks their biggest lead of the game (+19). After a couple of baskets by TJ McConnell, Kevin Porter Jr. closed the quarter with a layup and a foul. Score after three quarters: 83–65 for Milwaukee.

Indiana scores the first points in the final period, but Milwaukee responds immediately and the deficit increases to +20. Pete Nance dunks with two hands, everything seems under control. But the Bucks’ offense suddenly freezes and the Pacers go on a massive 15–0 run, coming back to just five points with just over five minutes left. Rollins ended a four-minute scoreless streak for Milwaukee.

Indiana got back to -4 again in the closing seconds, but Portis scored the decisive layup to seal the victory. Final score: 105–99.

WHAT TO REMEMBER

Offensive rebound. Often criticized this season for their lack of rebounding impact, the Bucks won this battle with 48 rebounds to 37. We’ll remember the 13 offensive rebounds and 17 second-chance points scored.

Tooth patient. Shock Pacers recruit Ivica Zubac was not in uniform. Rick Carlisle explained that the Croatian is suffering from an ankle sprain and that it is not even a certainty that he will be ready to face the Knicks on Tuesday night.
