Cam Johnson names the top 2 NBA players to watch

As Denver Nuggets forward Cam Johnson praised for many on the “Old Man and Three” podcast with Tommy Alter, his latest comments put the two superstars in the spotlight. With Johnson is dealing with a knee injury with the Nuggetswould talk on the podcast about two must-watch players in the NBA.

Alter would ask him, “Which NBA player, if you didn’t play in the NBA, would you pay to watch a game?” since he had one easy answer which he said without any hesitation. That would be the point guard of the Golden State Warriors Stephen Currywho at age 37 is still playing at an elite level, with his impressive shooting ability averaging 27.2 points per game.

The “the other obvious” that Johnson mentions is the San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Vembanyamawho thrived in his third season, using his unreal size to post 24.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game. Both Kari and Vembanyama displayed “extraordinary” feats in different ways, as Johnson explains.

“The other obvious one is Wendy, just because you’ve probably never seen a man like that, it’s like you’ve never seen a man move like that and perform at that size. It’s very unnatural. Steph is very normal, he does extraordinary things,” Johnson said.

Cam Johnson talks more about Stephen Curry, Victor Wembanyama

Alter would also share his thoughts on how Curry’s ability can inspire people to play like him, with a frame that isn’t entirely uncommon to most people. However, Vembanyama has another side to that equation, as Alter and Johnson discuss.

“Steph is the thing, especially when that crowd goes, when he takes over the game where it’s at, it’s almost like watching the greatest tennis player ever take over the match and the crowd… At your point, who seems kind of attainable for the casual,” Alter said.

“Wemby, the opposite. He does things that normal-sized people do, but he’s seven, five years old,” Johnson said.

There’s no denying that some players could have been dropped, but Curry and Vembanjama are still exciting picks.
