Anthony Edwards climbs Brook Lopez Mountain for the Slam

there is there’s no mountain Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards can climb at the time, and he proved that again on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
With more than six minutes left in the third period at the Target Center in Minnesota, the former Georgia Bulldogs star took off to put the Clippers in the big man Brooke Lopez on the poster.
Edwards was initially guarded on the perimeter by Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr., but easily flew past him before driving to the basket and flying out of the penalty zone for a dunk by the 37-year-old Lopez.
That layup cut the Timberwolves’ deficit to seven points at the time and energized Minnesota — and the crowd.

The 24-year-old Edwards, the top overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, has proven himself to be someone who can do more than just put people on a poster, but he also constantly reminds everyone that he one of the best in the league when it comes to that.
Edwards and the Timberwolves entered the Clippers game looking to bounce back from a 119-115 home loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.
Minnesota also won the first meeting of the 2025-26 NBA regular season against the Clippers by a score of 109-106 at home in December. In that contest, Edwards scored 15 points on just 3-for-11 shooting from the floor, although he went 9-for-9 from the free throw line in 37 minutes of action.
