Indiana loses Johnny Furfee indefinitely with an ACL injury


The Indiana Pacers received bad news regarding Johnny Furfee’s right ACL injury after the MRI on Monday. Furfi allegedly suffered a right ACL injuryaccording to HoopsHipe’s Michael Sotto.

Indiana Pacers swingman Johnny Furfee underwent an MRI today, confirming a torn right ACL,” HoopsHipe reported. “Furfee, a key contributor on whom the organization ranks highly, has started 21 of 35 games for Indiana this season.”

Furphy had four points, three assists and two rebounds in 14 minutes in the Pacers’ 122-104 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. He is expected to miss the rest of the regular season. In just his second season with the Pacers, Furphy is averaging 5.1 points on 47% shooting, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.4 minutes per game this season.

With starting point guard Tyrese Halliburton sidelined for the entire 2025-26 campaign with a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of last year’s NBA Finals, Furphy has taken on an increased role for the Pacers.

Doc Tyrese Halliburton continues to make progress in rehabJohnny Furfee’s ACL injury will be the Pacers’ latest game on the injury report between now and the end of the regular season. He suffered the injury in the third quarter of the Pacers’ 18-point loss to the Raptors on Sunday.

Coming off a dunk, Furphy landed awkwardly and needs help from the floor, according to Pacers reporter Alex Golden.

It’s a devastating blow to the Pacers, as Furphy will miss the remainder of the regular season and potentially part of the 2026-27 campaign.
