Mark Cuban, a group of Dallas investors trying to buy the team

In 2023 Mark Cuban sold his majority stake in Dallas Mavericks Patrick Dumont. Since then, the Mavericks have been in the NBA Finals, but there has been a lot of upheaval in the organization since then. In an attempt to restore the franchise, there is a group of investors looking for a partner with Cuban to buy him out, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

“BREAKING: Unidentified Dallas investor group interested in partnering with Mark Cuban to buy Mavericks from Patrick Dumont, TheSteinLine has learned. A source close to Dumont told me that “the family remains excited about the future of the franchise and the Cooper Flag era,” Stein wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
