Knicks legend clowns Ivica Zubac for absence against New York

Fans on Indiana Pacers will have to wait and see Ivica Zubac debut, like him spent their game against the New York Knicks on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

The Pacers acquired Zubac, along with Kobe Brown, at the trade deadline with the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Benedict Maturin, Isaiah Jackson and three future draft picks.

Zubac will bolster Indiana’s thin line as soon as he returns to action, giving the team a legitimate presence in the paint and a double-double threat.

Knicks commentator Mike Breen praised the 28-year-old center during the broadcast, but the NBA legend Walt Frazier he couldn’t help but clown Pacers and Toothless for miss the game.

“It’s called tanking, folks,” the Knicks analyst said, prompting a chuckle from Breen, as reported by BrickCenter on X.

The Pacers entered the game against the Knicks on a four-game losing streak and a dismal 13-40 record, second worst in the league.

Indiana has been hampered by injuries all seasonwith Tyrese Halliburton and Obie Toppin still out, and Maturin, Jackson, Andrew Nembhardt, TJ McConnell and Aaron Nesmith all missing time. On Monday, it was announced that Johnny Furfee is out for the season with a torn ACL.

As things stand, the Pacers will end up in the lottery, giving them a good chance to get the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s draft, with BIU’s AJ Dibants and Kansas’ Darrin Peterson as the top prospects.
