Fans react to wild finish to win against Nebraska

It was an ugly victory, but still a great victory, like Purdue defeated Nebraska, 80-77in overtime at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Tuesday.
The 13th-ranked Boilermakers nearly blew a 22-point lead as the seventh-ranked Cornhuskers went on a blistering second-half run to take a 77-75 lead with just 1:30 left in overtime.
Purdue, however, responded with three consecutive points by Oscar Huff. Jamarquez Lawrence then slipped on a wet spot on the floor on Nebraska’s final possession, and Guikari Harris sealed the upset win with two free throws.

Fans were relieved after the Boilermakers’ nail-biting escape.
“Exhausted. That was almost the biggest choke job in history. Gotta get better at shooting threes.” he said @PaulBoudrot.
“Letting go of a 14-point lead with 2:48 left is impossible, but our lack of perimeter defense struck again. Impressive win, though, and great resilience from Purdue. The rebound saved us,” he added @Kbobek.

Purdue improved to 20-4including 10-3 in the Big Ten. The team recorded multiple wins on the road against a top-10 opponent for just the second time in the AP Poll era, according to ESPN.
Fletcher Loyer led the Boilermakers with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists, while Braden Smith had 13 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists.
