Billy Donovan destroys any thought of auditioning players in 2026.

The Chicago Bulls they still face new players following NBA trade deadline. There are legitimate questions about the intentions of Taurus regarding their 14 second round draft picks.
However, the head coach Billy Donovan he made sure to choke speculation that players are “auditioning,” according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
“I can see people on the outside going, ‘Are they really trying to win? What about this group?… Who’s going to come back? Who’s not going to come back? Maybe these guys are auditioning, (or) they really don’t care.’ I still think in that locker room, these guys are professionals, and they don’t want to come in every day, work, try to buy and (say), ‘OK, we’re just going to experiment with all this stuff.’ ”
Last week, the Bulls made significant roster changes. They replaced Kobe White, Ayo Dosunmu, Nikola Vucevic, Dalen Terry, Kevin Huerter and Jevon Carter. Therefore, adding further uncertainty in the direction of the team.
Bulls are in for a rude awakening.
Donovan realizes the Bulls have an uphill battle ahead of them. They have less than 30 games left after All-Star weekend.
“I think this group is going to hit a wall,” Donovan said. “Coming out of the All-Star break, how these last 27 games look physically for us will be a big factor.”
“There’s guys out of contract, some guys who want to play, so we’ve got to help each other out, go out there and compete,” Donovan said.
“All those things are important, so I tried to shift their focus to, ‘What do we need to do to get better as a team?’
On Monday, Taurus he suffered his 5th defeat in a row to the Brooklyn Nets 123-115.
