Merrill himself doubles his PPG scoring average against the Wizards
The Cleveland Cavaliers watched Sam Merrill put up 13 points the night before Wednesday. But he doubled that performance against the Washington Wizards in just the first half.
Merrill hit all nine of his field goal attempts. And that included knocking down all seven of his shots from beyond the arc. In all, Merrill dropped 26 points on the Wizards at halftime.
James Harden seemed poised to become the go-to scorer in this offense – all after his trade from the Los Angeles Clippers.
Merrill, however, hit flawless marks on the Cavs’ door and sparked reactions.
