Alex Sarr will also miss Rising Stars in 2026
Another young talent absent for the Rising Stars this weekend. After Cooper Flagg, Alec Sarr has to drop out of the bra league’s star-studded meeting.
Shams Charania reports that the Wizards center is suffering from a strained hamstring in his right leg and will be out for approximately two weeks. As a result, he should miss the Pacers’ doubleheader on February 19th and 20th after returning from the All-Star break, and even the doubleheader trip to Atlanta that will follow.
The Bordeaux native, who was due to team up with Zachary Rizacher this weekend, did not play yesterday during a trip to Cleveland. Since the beginning of February, his playing time has been limited and he only plays every other match in case of “back-up”.
This season he has solid statistics with 17.2 points (49.6% shooting), 7.8 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. Sarr is also the second best blocker in the league behind compatriot Victor Wembanyama.
This new package therefore forces the NBA to name another replacement for the Rising Stars. Staff reminder:
