The reason why Stephen Curry is already preparing for a deep playoff run
With Golden State Warriors on the All-Star breakthe fanbase is hoping for that star Stephen Curry could come back and turn the team in the middle of an up-and-down start. As Curry continues to deal with a knee injurythis team reporter gives an insight into the star’s thinking during this time.
There’s no denying that the general sentiment surrounding the team is close to being in the gutter with season-ending injuries to Jimmy Butler and Curry. According to Nick Friedel of the Athletics, Curry knows Golden State has been written off by the sports world because he is “getting ready” for the playoff push.
“And what makes me interested in this last part of the game is that Steph is aware that everybody has written them off,” Friedel said, per 95.7 The Game . That’s one of the most competitive guys I’ve ever seen. He knows everybody’s sitting there saying, ‘I can’t make anything happen this year.’ Again. That doesn’t mean they will go on a mad dash to the finals. What that means is he’s getting ready to make that playoff push because we all agree he doesn’t have much left.”

The Warriors enter the All-Star break hoping Stephen Curry can bounce back

While it is The Warriors traded Jonathan Cummings and acquired Kristaps Porzingisa team doesn’t function unless it has its breakout star in Curry, who is averaging 27.2 points per game on 46.8 percent shooting from the field and 39.1 percent from deep. When it comes to his knee injury, Friedel talks about what the approach will be during the All-Star break.
“Specifically the knee. I think they’re worried. That’s why they put him out for two weeks. They want to make sure that when he comes back, this doesn’t happen again. The problem is you just don’t know what it’s going to be like until he starts running around again,” Friedel said.
Curry and Golden State are getting some much-needed time off as the team is 29-26, which puts them in eighth place in the Western Conference.
