Karl-Anthony Towns shares how he learned Jeremy Sochan was joining the team
Karl-Anthony Towns had a hilarious time reaction to the New York Knicks signing former San Antonio Spurs striker Jeremy Sochan.
Socan revealed his decision to join the Knicks earlier this week. This comes after the Spurs made the decision to let him go in free agency. That led to the end of his time with the franchise after four seasons, playing a solid role during the rebuilding years.
The young forward will provide versatility to New York’s roster, improving its depth as the team seeks a deep playoff run. Cities surprised by the news after finding Sochan’s post on social media.
“There’s no way I’m going to find out like this 😂😂😂,” Towns wrote.
What’s next for Karl-Anthony Towns, Knicks

Karl-Anthony Towns and the Knicks will be looking forward to seeing what Jeremy Sochan brings to the table.
Socan was active as a playmaker during his four-year stay at Spurs. After 212 career appearances for San Antonio, he averaged 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He shot 46.8% from the field, including 28.7% from beyond the arc and 72.3% from the free throw line.
Socan’s role was the smallest it has been this season as Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, Harrison Barnes and rookie Carter Bryant played over him in the rotation. Going to New York will allow him to have an active role off the bench where the power forward position can afford versatility and play production.
New York has a record of 35-20 on the season, holding third place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers by one game and the Toronto Raptors by three games while trailing the Boston Celtics by 0.5 games and the Detroit Pistons by six games.
The Knicks are off for All-Star weekend, but will resume play next week. They will be at home when they host the Pistons on February 19th at 7:30pm ET.
