Damian Lillard joins elite company after 3-point win
“Dame Time” is back in a big way during NBA All-Star Game weekend saturday. The Portland Trail Blazers star Lillard stole his latest three-point victory inside the Intuit Dome. This time he joined elite company.
Lillard is now only the third player ever to become a three-time winner of the annual competition. That sets it up in the same category with Craig Hodges (1990, 1991 and 1992) and Larry Bird (1986, 1987 and 1988).
The longtime Blazer looked like he was never rusty in his shot. He also sparked plenty of “Rip City” hashtags in his triumphant NBA All-Star return — this time in his second game with Portland.

Lillard immediately fired on all cylinders, scoring 27 points. And it appeared in the midst of a significant failure related to it.
The Blazers’ Damian Lillard looked undaunted by his recent injury

Lillard appeared in the contest despite missing the entire 2025-26 season.
The perennial All-Star tore his Achilles before returning to Portland. He suffered the injury during the final days of the Milwaukee Bucks run. This season was seen more as a “reset” season – but that also meant Blazer fans had to wait a little longer for “Dame Time.”
Well, Rip City fans got a vintage version of Lillard. Those fans were watching the same flawless hitting that made him a beloved superstar in their city.
Perhaps this is also a sign that those same Blazers fans will get an All-Star version of Lillard the moment he gets the green light to return to the Blazers. But “Dame Time” took center stage at the Inglewood venue.
