Stephen Curry’s “only real suggestion” to fix the terrible All-Star game

On Sunday afternoon, The NBA All-Star Game will take place from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, home of the Clippers. Unfortunately, Golden State Warriors star rush Stephen Curry will not be able to participate in case he is recovering from a knee injury, but was still present at the media day to answer some questions.
One of the main talking points at this year’s All-Star Game was the perceived lack of effort from players in the game in recent years, and now Curry has said one potential solution to the problem.
“I mean, the only thing I would think about is shortening the game. That might be the only real suggestion I would have because it’s hard to replicate the intensity of a regular season game and nobody’s asking anybody to act like it’s the playoffs with the stakes like that, but maybe a shorter game,” Curry said, per Chaz NBA on YouTube.
The league has tried different formats in the All-Star Game in recent years, and this year was a USA vs. World setup, consisting of several 12-minute games in the tournament circuit, followed by the championship game.
Players in previous seasons couldn’t be bothered to put in much effort with the various gimmicks the league office tried to fix the problem, and many fans are skeptical that this year will be any different, despite the fact that a lack of effort by players has now become a major theme leading into the event.
Curry is known as one of the few players who wants to put on a show for the fans on All-Star weekend, and it will surely be a disappointment to the fans in attendance that he is unable to go.
Tipoff is set for 5:00 PM ET.
