Anthony Edwards reveals the cold truth about facing KD, LeBron in the All-Star game
Anthony Edwards always has that confidence that he is the best player on the field at all times, regardless of who he shares the field with. The Minnesota Timberwolves star feeds on wanting to grab the chains of other stars he’s competing against, and that’s what prompted Team Star to NBA All-Star Game crown.
Edwards totaled 32 points in three games, including eight in the Stars’ 47-21 victory over the Strips, and that was good enough for the Timberwolves star to be crowned the All-Star Game MVP.
Against Kevin Durant, someone he’s had a friendly rivalry with over the past few seasons, and LeBron James, both of whom he played with on Team USA’s 2024 gold medal. lit a fire under the Timberwolves star, as was obvious.
“I want to cook them every time,” Edwards said in his interview after receiving All-Star Game MVP honors.

Indeed, the Timberwolves star was cooking well, as a few buckets from him created so much separation between them and the Stripes team in the All-Star Game finale. All that’s left now is for him to keep cooking whoever he comes across in the postseason.
Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves is coming for the crown

Edwards is now hardened in the playoffs, having suffered two losses in the Western Conference finals. In his first VCF appearance, he ran out of money. The following year, the Oklahoma City Thunder were simply too overwhelming. But now, Edwards understands the level he needs to get over the hump.
The Timberwolves star raises his game when he faces the legends of the sport, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander quickly became one of them. And knowing what he has on his shoulder, expect him to be at his best when the postseason begins in April.
