In the year 2026 LeBron James made the All-Star team for the 22nd time in his career, with coaches recognizing how impactful he is as a star even though he hasn’t been as prolific as in the past for Los Angeles Lakers. James has the most All-Star honors in NBA history, with 22, but as a wise fictional man once said, “with great power comes great responsibility.”
With James making it to the All-Star Game 22 times, losses are bound to happen, even for someone as big as him. In 2026, his team, Team Stripes, fell short in the final edition of the legendary exhibition contest, handing him his 11th loss in All-Star Game history.

This is, of course, no statistic that was published only in jest. The All-Star Game doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, and after a few years (from 2020 to 2022), not too many players even take the game seriously.
And James, as a result of making the All-Star game every season, had more chances to lose than anyone else. It’s not like losing 11 times in ASG is a big deal for someone who has done it 22 times.

At 41 years old, it’s even an anomaly that James is still playing at a high enough level that his All-Star participation can be argued as a merit, unlike Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki are back in 2019 when they were mere nods for participation.
