Anthony Edwards’ “favorite” truth bomb about Barack Obama at the All-Star Game


While in 2026 NBA All-Star Game, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves became real when discussing the former president Barack Obamawho was at the ceremony.

Speaking to reporters, Edwards talked about Obama being at the NBA All-Star Game in 2026. He was asked if his presence gave him “extra motivation” to get into the game.

Edwards smiled and admitted that he did, saying, “You always have to put on a show” for someone like Obama. He then went a step further, calling Obama his “favorite person in the world.”

It turns out that Edwards and Obama were hanging out before the All-Star game. Edwards promised Obama that he would “put on a show for him.”

As promised, Edwards “put on a show” for Obama and everyone else watching the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. Edwards won NBA All-Star Game MVP honors for his efforts.

He helped lead the USA Stars to a victory over the USA Stripes in the championship game. Edwards scored eight points and had four rebounds and two assists in the championship game. In three games for the US Stars, he scored a total of 32 points.

Edwards is currently the third leading scorer in the NBA. In the 2025/26 season. averaged 29.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

During his young career, Edwards has already been a four-time NBA All-Star, doing so each year from 2023 to 2026. Edwards is also a two-time All-NBA Second Team player.

Edwards was selected with the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Georgia. He played for Georgia from 2019-2020 before leaving for the NBA. During his collegiate career, Edwards was named SEC Rookie of the Year and 2020 All-SEC Second Team. Additionally, he was named a 2019 McDonald’s All-American.
