Philadelphia rewards the two-way player with a two-year deal
The Philadelphia 76ers signed his two-way forward, Jabari Walker, to a two-year contract. While the 76ers All-Star guards Tirese McKay helped the USA Stars win at the All-Star Game, Walker was one step away from securing a new contract that would keep him with the Phillies for at least one more season.
Walker agreed to a two-year contract with the Sixers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charani.
“The Philadelphia 76ers intend to sign Jabari Walker to a new two-year contract, sources tell ESPN. The 76ers and Clutch Sports’ Rich Paul and Anthony Fields have negotiated a new deal for Walker, who has earned a rotation role after maxing out the games allowed in his two-way contract,” Charania reported.
Shortly after announcing Walker’s new contract, Cam Paine secured the deal until the end of the season, Charania added.
“The 76ers plan to sign Walker to a new two-year contract and in the coming days, veteran guard Cam Payne until the end of the season,” Charania added. “Payne spent part of the 2023-24 season with the 76ers.
