Nikola Jokić left Luka Dončić speechless with a betting joke
during the weekend Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokić was present for NBA All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Jokic played sparingly for the world team at the festivities as he continues to recover from a recent knee injury, but he still seemed to enjoy himself for the most part over the weekend.
Jokic has long been known for his friendship with a fellow international NBA star Luka Dončić Los Angeles Lakers, and the Serbian giant at one point made a joke about Dončić.
“You know why Luka (Doncic) follows everything? Because he bets on everything. Gamble, gamble,” Jokic said on the Instagram page of Pascal Siakam, star of the Indiana Pacers.
Doncic was seen simply shaking his head on digging.

The NBA might be sensitive to gambling jokes at this time due to recent arrests involving Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier in alleged gambling activities.
However, that hasn’t stopped the league from going full steam ahead in its partnerships with various sportsbooks, with live betting odds featured throughout NBC’s telecast for various All-Star Saturday night events.
Meanwhile, Jokic and the Nuggets are hoping to put together a strong season after hitting a bit of a rough patch leading up to the All-Star break. Injury hasn’t been kind to Denver this year, with Peyton Watson and Aaron Gordon currently sidelined with hamstring injuries.
The team only recently returned Jokic and Cameron Johnson from their own injuries, and Jamal Murray has been in and out of the lineup at times with various ailments.
Either way, the Nuggets’ regular season will resume on Friday night when they host the Los Angeles Clippers.
