Jayson Tatum is turning heads with a message about rehabbing from injury

The Boston Celtics they are currently preparing for the unofficial second half of the NBA season after the All-Star break. The The Celtics are playing great basketballespecially considering they were without a star Jayson Tatum this season while recovering from a torn Achilles.
There has been a lot of speculation about this in recent weeks Tatum could be back already this season, which would be one of the fastest Achilles recoveries the league has ever seen, which was further fueled when the league moved the Celtics’ upcoming home game against the Philadelphia 76ers to national TV without explanation.
Now, Tatum has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to mark the new milestone his recovery process.
“40 weeks,” Tatum wrote alongside a prayer emoji on the social media platform. “I’ve really grown to appreciate this journey I’ve been on and it’s given me time to pat myself on the back for showing up everyday!”
Tatum suffered an Achilles injury during Game 4 of last year’s semifinal series against the New York Knicks, which Boston lost in six games, already on the verge of a 3-1 loss when Tatum was sidelined.
This year, Jaylen Brown has played at a borderline MVP level for the Celtics, and Derrick White and Peyton Pritchard have shaken off rough starts to the year to help give the team an explosive run.
Meanwhile, Boston recently made the winning move by sending Anfernee Simmons to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vucevic at the NBA trade deadline, bolstering the team’s biggest weakness in the process.
If Tatum is indeed able to bounce back this year, many would likely consider the Celtics the favorite to come out of the East in the spring.
Boston’s season is set to resume on Thursday with a road game against the Golden State Warriors.
