Ja Morant Teases New ‘Ja Raffe’ Nike Ja 3 Trainers

As one of the most selective players in the NBA, that’s just fine Memphis Grizzlies‘ franchise star I Morant he has a shoe to match his explosive game. His latest signature sneakers, Nike Ja 3is easily the most unique of his collection and offers the craziest colors we’ve seen over the past year. Morant recently shared a sneak peek at an upcoming “Ja Raffe” colorway that die-hard fans are more than familiar with.

After being drafted by the Grizzlies and adopting Memphis as their new home, the city showed their love for Morant by inviting him to the Memphis Zoo in 2020. They even went out of their way to name one of their newborn giraffes after rookie sensation Ja Raffe.

It has been exactly three years since Ja Morant met Ja Raffe and said that he now has a son.

When his signature sneaker debuted in 2023, it was only right that Ja Morant rocked a giraffe-inspired colorway of his Nike Ja 1 sneakers. A year later, Morant teased an accompanying Nike Ja 2 “Ja Raffe” sneaker and ended up wearing sneakers in a game for the Grizzlies. Following the same beat, Morant recently shared a “leak” of the Nike Ja 3 “Ja Raffe” colorway.

The wild pair returns in another brown/tan/pink color theme to resemble the look of Morant’s spotted friend. Usually featuring claw marks across the uppers, this Nike Ja 3 will instead feature patches of Giraffe Brown across the mesh panels. The Nike Zoom outsole will feature alternating tan and tan claw marks with a pronounced tan “A” towards the heel. The final detail features a pink Nike Swoosh that spells out “JA” along the upper, a humorous nod to the Ja Raffe’s pink tongue.

Previous “Ja Raffe” colorways have not been released to the public, and while the Nike Ja 3 is being remastered and released at a feverish pace, don’t be surprised if Ja Morant keeps this collection exclusively for himself and his giraffe “son.”
