Chris Paul gets 100% real about what led to his shock departure from LA

With the ex Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul is retiring from the game of basketball, there is no doubt that his long legacy will be remembered, but also how his last tenure with the team ended abruptly. As it is The Clippers traded Paul to the Toronto Raptorswho later called it quits, the legendary point guard called it a career, but Los Angeles sent him home in a move that sparked controversy as he spoke more about the situation.
Paul was on “7 PM in Brooklyn,” where he was asked how the relationship ended in a flash, and he said the team wanted to not give “advice to the players.” He would explain how a “a lot of back and forth.”
“I’m still figuring it out and trying to figure out how it came about,” Paul said. “During the training camp, I was talking to one of my teammates for a while, and then as soon as I went to the dining room, someone came and told me like they don’t want me to give advice to the players.

Chris Paul talks about what he told the Clippers about playing his final year
It got to the point where Paul was sent home in December, but it wasn’t always a negative as the star planned to finish his season and career with the Clippers, playing in front of his family. He told the selector that Tyronn Lue and President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank.
“I hit (up) T-Lue, I was like, ‘I like to finish my career here.’ L-Frank, I hit him, he said the same thing,” Paul said. “At the beginning of the season, Lawrence Frank sent me an article about how great my leadership was, an article I’d never seen. He texted it to me saying, ‘Man, this is great leadership here.’ I was extremely grateful, you see, I was emotional when I came back. I knew it was my last year and I would be playing in front of my family.
While that is in the rear-view mirror, Paul is now enjoying retirement after an incredible career.
