Love sends message to prospective team ahead of NFL Draft

Road to NFL draft is coming up now that we’re in the football offseason. One of the most interesting players in the NFL draft is Jeremiah Love out of the Notre Dame football program. Love proved that he is a born playmaker with the ball in his hands. He’s also shown to be versatile, and that versatility could land him in the draft as the top-ranked running back on the board.
Love was on the latest episode of “This Is Football” with ESPN reporter Kevin Clarke and was asked what he would bring to the team that is pulling him. He said he would do anything to help that team. That means dribbling, tackling and blocking.
The quote that stood out was: “I’m willing to do anything to make this team successful.”
The 2026 NFL Draft isn’t until April, but many mock drafts are out, and most of them have Love going in the top 10. Most of the mock drafts you’ll find have Love selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 9th pick, which would be huge because the quarterback position in Kansas City has been a revolving door recently.
In his college career, he played in 41 games, had 2,882 rushing yards, 594 receiving yards and 42 total touchdowns. Love is not in the same range as the Bian Robinson looks we’ve seen recently; he doesn’t run with the same power or possess the same elite vision, but he doesn’t lag either. Love’s movement speed and ability to break through even the tiniest of holes make him one of the most intriguing prospects in the upcoming draft.
Love was also a candidate for the Heisman Trophy last season in college football and was the highest-rated player, not the quarterback, at the ceremony. He finished behind Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who won the Heisman Trophyand Diego Pavia, who finished second in the voting.
Love seems likely to be drafted in the top 12 of the NFL Draft, and that’s in large part because of how dominant he was at Notre Dame.
