LaMelo Ball was involved in a car accident in Charlotte on Wednesday
Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball was recently involved in a traffic accident in Uptown. The video posted shows Ball’s Hummer hitting the car as they both drove through the intersection. The car that was hit by the ball stopped immediately, the driver got out and approached the Hornets guard to see if he was okay.
It is not certain who was at fault for the accident, but both parties appear to be safe.
Witnesses told local news that the limo was traveling eastbound on Trade Street while Ball was traveling westbound. He tried to turn left onto the one-way side, which is how the collision occurred. Witnesses also claimed that when Ball got out of the Hummer, he got into the Lamorghini. Both the Hummer and sedan were towed.
Ball has been criticized for his driving in recent years. It was Several videos have been released of him leaving the Spectrum Center and driving fast.
The Hornets will play the Houston Rockets on Thursday at home, and for now it appears that Ball will not be on the injury report for anything related to the accident.
Over the past few weeks, The Hornets were one of the hottest teams in the league and climbed up the Eastern Conference standings after sitting outside the Play-Ins at one point. They are now the ninth seed and have plenty of time to make up a place in the table if they continue to play as they have.
