Draymond Green reacts to Kevin Durant’s ‘Key & Peele’ as drama with bills
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green measured at Kevin Durant’s latest alleged controversycomparing the situation to the “Key & Peele” skit during a recent episode of The Draymond Green Show. Green addressed the online speculation surrounding a private account that some believe is linked to Houston Rockets star.
Green acknowledged that the matter remains unproven, but suggested that, if true, it was a locker room crash it can create an uncomfortable tension.
“I would address it publicly if it’s a public thing and take the life he took. But to each his own. But I’ll tell you what, if it’s not how you go back to training, I mean you go back to training after a break, you almost walk into the locker room, you probably feel like a Key & Peele sketch. It’s like you’re doing a little bit of what you’re doing awkwardly, you know?” Yeah, but anyway, it’s supposedly KD’s account. We may already know the truth.
Screenshots from an account called @gethigher77, which is now private, circulated widely during All-Star weekend. There is no verified evidence that Durant operates the account, although the speculation has sparked extensive debate on the Internet.
The account is allegedly criticized several Houston players, including Jabari Smith Jr. and Alperen Sengunquestioning Sengun’s shooting and defense while voicing concerns about Smith’s scoring and defensive consistency. Other claims suggest the account criticized former teammates Devin Booker and Kyrie Irving, including comments labeling Booker a “dictator” and implying Irving acted as if Durant owed him something.

Rockets star Kevin Durant’s history is looming over new allegations

Durant has previously been linked to anonymous social media accounts. In September 2017, while playing for the Warriors, he accidentally posted a reply from his third-person verified account that appeared intended for a recording account. The tweet defended his departure from the Oklahoma City Thunder and criticized former coach Billy Donovan and teammate Russell Westbrook.
“He didn’t like the organization or playing for Billy Donovan. His roster wasn’t that good, it was just him and Russ,” the tweet read, according to reports at the time.
Durant has been ever since frankly speaking about his involvement in social networks. During an appearance on The Pivot Podcast in October, he described posting online as a form of emotional release.
“I don’t want to pile all this hate on the media or the fans,” Durant said. “So I’m just saying what I feel at the moment.”
The 37-year-old signed a two-year, $90 million extension following his offseason trade to the Rockets in a multi-team deal. He continued to play at an elite level, averaging 25.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists while shooting 50.6% from the field and 40.3% from three in 50 games. Houston has a record of 33–20 and is in fourth place in the Western Conference standings.
The Rockets will return to action Thursday night at 7:00 PM ET on the road against the Charlotte Hornets (26-29) as the focus shifts back to on-court performance amid constant speculation on social media.
