Stephen Curry will miss at least 5 more games with a knee injury

Stephen Curry is out for some time with a knee injury, and many believed he would be ready to return after the All-Star break. However, the Golden State Warriors announced that the star point guard is still not ready to return.
Reports indicate that Curry, who turns 38 in March, he will be out for at least five more gamesaccording to Shams Charani and Anthony Slater of ESPN. The swelling and pain haven’t gone away, and the Warriors are giving Curry more time to recover.
“Warriors’ Stephen Curry will be re-evaluated in 10 days due to his persistent right knee injury, sources tell me and Anthony Slater. He has been sidelined since January 30 and will miss at least five more games.”
The Warriors issued a statement regarding Curry’s injury, according to NBA insider Brett Siegel. Golden State revealed that the four-time NBA champion has patella-femoral pain syndrome, as well as a bruise in his right knee. Fortunately, there is no structural damage.
“Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, who has missed the past five games with patellofemoral pain syndrome/contusion in his right knee, underwent an MRI last night,” the organization said. “The MRI confirmed the injury and showed no structural damage. He will be re-evaluated in 10 days.”
Since Stephen Curry suffered an injury, The Warriors seemingly downplayed the injury as a whole. While his return to action remains up in the air, the only good news is that an MRI showed no structural damage.
The Warriors are in a crucial spot in the Western Conference after the All-Star break. They sit in eighth place and are right in the playoff mix. However, Curry’s return to the court is key to this team’s success. Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis is likely to make his Golden State debut against the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
