Boston’s offense to the Warriors sent fans wild on social media

If you’re a Golden State Warriors fan, you might want to look away. If you are a Boston Celtics fan, you’re probably already halfway through your celebratory dance.
The Boston Celtics turned the Chase Center into their personal playground on Thursday night. dismantling the Golden State Warriors in a performance that looked less like a basketball game and more like a statement. Heading into the fourth quarter with a huge 102-75 lead, the Celtics proved that even without superstar Jayson Tatum, they are still the most serious threat in the league.
With Tatum sidelined for Achilles surgical recovery, other members of the Boston Celtics stepped up significantly. Jailen Brown led the way with an incredible 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while Peyton Pritchard followed with 18 points. Sam Houser also added to the mix with a 14-point game.
The Internet, as expected, was not cold as the lead grew.

“Since that loss in the finals at 22, they take every game against the Warriors personal. Beat them by 52, then 40 and now this,” one fan noticed on Ks. Others to point highlights a historic trend: βFor the third straight season, the Celtics have opened a 30+ point lead against the Warriors.
The lack of gravity on the floor for the Golden State Warriors was evident. Without Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, the Warriors’ offense looked stagnant and overmatched. One fan summarized complement the misery perfectly: “The Warriors are terrible. It’s very funny to watch them get kicked out of the building by the Celtics. They obviously miss Curry and Butler, but if this is what they have around them, they weren’t going to run.”
I hope Steve Kerr knows it’s his fault that the Boston Celtics will do everything in their power to embarrass him for the rest of his tenure as coach of the Warriors. pic.twitter.com/bSKgvlkBbZ

As the Celtics began to retire their starters early, the disrespect was palpable. “Celtics embarrass Warriors so much they throw HEEZY passes,” he joked another user.
The Boston Celtics (36-19) continue looks like the class of the Eastern Conference. For the Warriors, it’s back to the drawing board as they battle to stay in the Play-In mix.
