Cooper Flagg’s first NBA jersey was sold at auction for $1 million

Sotheby’s announced the salein a private transaction, a jersey worn by a rookie Mavericks during the first half of his first NBA game, for a tidy sum of $1 million!
The shirt in question dates from October 22, 2025, the first night against Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs. Cooper Flagg then had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) despite shooting 4/13 in the loss.
Incidentally, this sale sets a new record for the first NBA jersey sold in a season, ahead of Victor Wembanyama, who brought in $762,000 in 2023. By summer, the debut Cooper Flagg Summer League jersey had already reached $95,250, proof that collectors are active around the phenomenon.
