When the Lakers first released their injury report Thursday night, it appeared to be the first time all season they had a clean sheet with every player on the roster available. That celebration was short-lived, however, as LeBron James appeared questionable Friday morning before the game.
James began the season sidelined with a nerve injury and missed the first 14 games of the year before returning to the lineup in mid-November. Upon his return, James did not play in a full set of back-to-back games until last month. After missing the Lakers’ game against the San Antonio Spurs just before the All-Star break, James was no longer eligible for postseason awards and honors, ending his streak of 21 consecutive seasons on the All-NBA team.
The The Lakers star participated in the All-Star weekend as a member of the Stripes team after the coaches selected him as a reserve. It was James’ 22nd consecutive All-Star season. The only season he was not drafted was his rookie year.

James has appeared in 36 games this year, averaging just over 33 minutes per game. He averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.5 steals on 50.2 percent shooting from the field, 30.5 percent from the 3-point line and 74.6 percent from the free throw line.
