Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took the road less traveled when he joined Converse Basketball in 2020. In addition to becoming the new face of Converse Basketball (a subset Nike), SGA also earned the title of creative director for its basketball line. This has also opened the door to past and future life ventures, including everyday sneakers and clothing.
Usually we only saw SHAI 001 in monochrome colors with every facet and panel matching the uniform shade. Here we see the pattern across the shoe for the first time, an exciting indication of what could be in store for future concepts.

During All-Star Weekend 2026, Gilgeous-Alexander was spotted rocking an unreleased colorway of his signature SHAI 001 with camo to go with the sneakers. The shoe appears in a classic camouflage mix of army green, black, brown and yellow. The primary colorway is a dull green throughout the midsole, outsole, back heel, sockliner and mesh upper under the zipper.
While there’s no word on an official release date, multiple outlets are reporting a time frame during the spring season of 2026, potentially set for April 3rd. The shoes are expected to follow previous releases and come with a standard retail tag of $130, available through select Converse platforms and Nike SNKRS.
