Flavor Flav issues an official invitation to the USA Women’s Hockey Team

Team USA brought home gold medals in both men’s and women’s ice hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics. But there was some controversy surrounding the teams after the men’s team received an invitation from Donald Trump inviting them to Washington DC for his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
“I’ll tell you what, I just told my people two minutes ago, I said, we’re giving the State of the Union address on Tuesday night,” said Donald Trump to the men’s Olympic hockey team via a phone call with FBI Director Cash Patel, who was in the men’s locker room for the gold medal. “I could send a military plane or something, but if you want, this is the coldest night.”
Players from the men’s team quickly cut him off saying they would like to attend. One even asked if he could pick them up from Miami on Tuesday morning, when they’re probably celebrating the win.
“We’re going to get Cash or we’re going to call in the military to get you guys. Which would be really cool, and next time we’re going to do the White House, we’re just going to have fun, we’ve got medals for you guys. And we have to, I gotta tell you, we’re going to have to bring a women’s team, you know that?” Trump said with a laugh.
The men’s hockey team was seen laughing at the idea, which caused frustrations from people on social media.

After that video appeared, the women’s hockey team formally declined to attend Tuesday night’s State of the Union address.
Flavor Flav — co-founder of the hip-hop group Public Enemy — took to social media to pitch his own idea: invite the gold medal-winning women’s hockey team to celebrate with him.
“If the USA women’s hockey team wants a real celebration and I call,,, I’ll host them in Las Vegas. Have nice dinners, shows and a good time. I’m sure I can find a hotel and an airline to help me out here and really celebrate these women.”

That Twitter post quickly grew to nearly a million views in just under six hours, prompting a more formal invitation to the women’s team.
“I’m speaking on behalf of Flavor Flav. First, a big congratulations on the gold!” it says in a post on social networks.
We saw the story of the men’s invitation to the White House, not quite the invitation to the women’s team. Flav recently took to social media to announce the idea and invite the women’s hockey team to Las Vegas for a real celebration. He always stands behind everything he says and does. If there is an interest for the team to come to Las Vegas and celebrate with Flava – we will take it from our side and make it a wonderful experience. I wanted you to know that the offer is real and that you have my contact information.
Flav is quite flexible about timings except 14-16.
Formal invitation addressed to the women’s hockey team,,; but if anyone knows someone with them,,, please contact my great at the e-mail in my bio.
