Brice Harper, Dave Dombrowski ‘communicated’ about non-elite comments

The The Philadelphia Phillies had some drama swirling around the organization during the offseason due to Dave Dombrowski‘s comments about Brice Harper he is no longer an elite player. Since then, Harper has been outspoken about the situation, and on Tuesday he claimed that he and Dombrowski had spoken to each other about the comments.
Speaking on Sports Radio 94VIP, the 33-year-old first baseman claimed that he and Dombrowski resolved their differences. Harper also stated that he did not feel disrespected by the “non-elite” comments, but that he was bothered by Dombrowski’s making the comments public.
“Yes, we communicated,” Harper said. “You know, I think that’s in the past and I’m just trying to move on and get ready for the season.”
“No, I mean, I don’t think so,” Harper said after being asked if he felt disrespected. “It was just an idea to come out and talk to the media, and like I said before, I’ve talked about it a million times, obviously. It’s just happening out in the open.”

Brice Harper, while previously appearing on the “Bussin’ with the Bois” podcast, mentioned earlier Dave Dombrowski’s comments are publicly posted are what bothered him. But from the sounds of it, the eight-time All-Star is now turning his attention to the upcoming 2026 MLB season.
2025 was a decent outing for Harper. His .261 batting average, however, was a bit below par by his standards (career .280 batting average). He aims to improve on that batting average, along with his .357 OBP, 131 hits, 27 home runs and 75 RBIs in 2026 when he begins his 15th MLB season.
