Donald Trump has 5 words for Matthew Tkachuk’s gold medal



Just a few days after reruns of “Miracle on Ice,” Team USA he recently met with the president Donald Trump in the White House. At the ongoing 2026 Winter Olympics, Team USA defeated Canada 2-1 in the final and secured a gold medal after 46 years.

After the meeting, the photo was shared on the official account of the White House X. The picture showed Trump with members of the team that won the men’s ice hockey championship on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, in Milan.

This was the third Olympic gold medal for Team USA in ice hockey history. Coincidentally, the men’s team won a medal just three days after the women’s team also defeated Canada 2-1 in the finals of the ice hockey tournament to win the gold.

After a successful visit to Italy, the USA team flew Air Force One to the nation’s capital while having fun. The team then headed to the Oval Office at the White House for a meeting with Trump, who held and posed with the team’s gold medal.
