Kon Knuepel on track to become most prolific 3-point rookie
The rookie record is about to fall. The author of three awarded baskets for a total of 21 points, during the Hornets’ big win against the Bulls (131-99), Knuppel could became the fastest player to reach 200 three-pointers in league history.
It took him just 58 games to reach 200 3-pointers, 11 shy of the previous record, Duncan Robinson. He is also only the second rookie to reach this symbolic milestone.
Now with 201 hits to his name (the best total in the league), Kon Knuepel needs just six more hits to obliterate the record Keegan Murray. The latter scored 206 goals with the Kings during the 2022/23 season, the most ever by a rookie in his first year.
Third on this list, Donovan Mitchell scored 187 game-winning points during his first season, ahead of Damian Lillard (185) and Brandon Miller (184).
A slight drop in speed in January

After experiencing a slight dip in performance in January (17.8 points from 41.7% shooting), his rookie February regained his curves with 22.1 points based on a much better skill level (47.6%).
