Luka Dončić is constantly ‘crying’ and causing a large media crowd that is impossible to ignore

Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić is one of the most electric stars in the league, but causes negative reactions by several NBA prognosticators. Often during the game, Luca can be seen arguing and pantomiming the referees when he feels he has not been fouled or when he feels he has been touched by a defender. That drew the ire of several media figures, and now ESPN’s Tim McMahon has entered the fray.

In the comments on ESPN Get upMcMahon threw in Doncic for objecting to the referees.

“Luka has had two glaring flaws throughout his career conditioning and crying. The conditioning where he’s made great strides, he’s crying as much as ever… What I can tell you is that Luka takes his frustration out on the referees. So the more frustrated he is, the more he whines, he cries, and the three more he cries, and he’s in the gray five. guys in opposite jerseys, he’s going to have problems defensively, regardless.

McMahon is not the only media representative who complained about Doncic’s approach. On a recent edition of his podcast with sports agent Rich Paul Game OverMax Kellerman jokingly suggested that if Luka Doncic gets a statue, it would be of him arguing with the officials.

“And you know how (Pat) Riley has his own statue? You know what the statue of Luka Doncic will be, if he ever gets one, out of the Crypt now? It’ll be like this. This is the statue of Luka. With his arms out, like this… Every time down the floor, you complain about the floor. Complain about the floor? Every time he goes down to the ref? No, you’re not going to get an i-1. It can’t be that the refs are making every call to Luka Doncic.

Bill Simmons recently spoke about what he considers to be Doncic’s foul-baiting on his The Bill Simmons Show podcast.

“Stupid bitch stuff is the worst it’s been in a long time. It’s back to peak viewership. It’s every single play. Now it’s back to where it was, in Dallas it was the worst when it got so bad that the Mavs finally had to call him out publicly. Yeah. It’s that bad, even LeBron’ Wow? I’m really knocking for calls.

On a recent episode of FanDuel TV Run it backLou Williams also criticized Doncic, saying that his foul-mouthed offense was causing the Lakers to lose the “game of inches” in basketball.

“Basketball is a game of inches. You lose by one point because you give up possession after possession after possession worrying about the referees.”

On paper, Luka is having a phenomenal season. He is currently first in the league in points per game, with an average of 32.5, and he also added 7.8 rebounds and 8.6 assists. But Tuesday night’s loss to the Orlando Magic intensified criticism of the team and, in particular, Luka’s behavior in these moments.

The Lakers look to snap a two-game losing streak against the Suns on Thursday at 9 p.m
